This term we are studying the life of Abraham – “A stranger in a foreign country” from the first book of the Bible, Genesis, chapters 12 to 25.

At face value Abraham appeared to live a life that was very different from 21st century London: a nomad, called by God to be the father of a new nation. But dig a bit deeper and we find a man marked by both faith and failure who was living in the gap between promise and reality. His life points us to Jesus and the gospel. Christians today are called to have the same faith in God in the face of our own sins and flaws as we wait for what God has promised.
