Living for Jesus, sharing his good news in Hampstead, NW3

COVID Conversations

Over spring 2020, we held a series of “COVID conversations”. Recordings of all the conversations can be viewed via the link below. You can read descriptions of all the four conversations below the link.

Beyond the Big C:

In the first of our series of COVID Conversations, we interviewed Jeremy Marshall, former CEO of C Hoare & Co, the UK’s oldest private bank. Since 2016 Jeremy has been living with incurable cancer. He is the author of “Beyond the Big C: Hope in the face of death”. We heard Jeremy connect his experience of faith to the coronavirus situation that we all faced.

Evidence that demands a verdict:

In our second COVID conversation we interviewed Sir Jeremy Cooke, former High Court Judge, on his experience of weighing up evidence at the Old Bailey and how that applies when considering whether Jesus rose from the dead. He showed us why this matters more than ever in the face of COVID-19.

God, Science and COVID:

In our third COVID conversation we interviewed Dr Andrew Sach. Andrew has a PhD in neuroscience and is now one of the ministers at Grace Church Greenwich. We considered whether science can save us or give us all the answers we need, and whether Christian faith and scientific endeavour can be reconciled.

Race, racism, COVID and Christ:

Our final COVID conversation featured Andrew Barnett who works with London City Mission in the area around Grenfell Tower in West London. He shared some of his own experience of issues to do with race and racism in Britain and how he approaches these things as a Christian.
