A bible-believing Anglican church in Hampstead, NW3

This week’s notices (6th July 2018)

Notices for this week
(6th July 2018)

Evangelistic Choral Concert – tomorrow, Saturday 7th July (doors open at 7:00pm for 7:30pm)
We are delighted to welcome the All Souls choir back again this year for an evening of great music plus a brief gospel message from Tom Watts.  Please come along to show your support and meet others and do think and pray about who you could invite.  An event not to be missed!

Please do let Kerry know asap if you can help (welcome, serve food/drinks, clear up afterwards etc).

New Mission Partner update (Miller family, South Africa)
John & Jenny Miller’s latest prayer letter can be found here.  Please do pray for them as a family as they prepare to move to Johannesburg in August.

Weekend Away 2018 (5-7th October 2018)
The online booking form is now available here so please do sign up as soon as possible and, ideally, before you go away for the Summer Holidays!  Leaflets are also available at the back church.

This year we are returning to Denham Grove and Andrew Latimer from Grace Church Greenwich will be speaking to us from Ecclesiastes.

Summer BBQs (6:00pm on Sundays from 15th July to 2nd September 2018)
In our new sermon series over the Summer, we will be looking at some of the Psalms and, as in previous years, we will be having BBQs outside before the evening service.  Please do come along for food and fellowship – these would also be great services to invite friends to come along to!

If you consider yourself a member of St John’s, please fill in our Serving Survey by clicking here.

One of our key values is “every member ministry” where we are all responsible for serving one another and building one another up.  Everyone has different gifts and skills that they can use and develop for the good of the whole church.  If you’ve not yet got involved, this is a great opportunity to see the kinds of areas where you might have something to offer.  If you’re already serving, you may want to review the ways that you serve or consider new areas to develop your gifts.  Do talk to Tom Watts if you have any questions.

Sign up for the St John’s podcast here
So you can listen to all our previous talks and catch up on any that you’ve missed if you’ve been away or unable to come to church for any reason.

Chalk Farm Foodbank
We have a box at the back of church for anyone who wants to contribute.  Urgent needs this week are: tinned tomatoes, tinned fruit, tinned meat e.g. Fray Bentos pies, chicken in sauce, corned beef, ham, long life (UHT) milk, deodorant, toothpaste, coffee, and rice.  Please ensure that everything is in date otherwise we can’t donate it.
