Prayer Meeting (7:30pm, Wednesday 5th December) We will gather to pray this Wednesday evening, with dinner served from 7:30pm and prayer from 8:00pm – please do join us to pray for all our Christmas activities and services. Peter Lowman from Operation Mobilisation (one of our mission partners) will also be joining us to give us an update on OM’s work. If you consider yourself a member of the church, please do make this a priority.
Women’s Drinks & Cookie Exchange (7:30pm, Thursday 6th December) All women are welcome to come along for drinks, nibbles, and a short talk from Sue Watts on what Christmas means to her. A relaxing start to the festive season and an ideal event to invite friends to. It’s also a great opportunity to show off your baking skills – please let Kerry know if you can make/bring cookies!
Carol Service – Singers needed (7:30pm, Sunday 16th December)
Once a year we have a four part choir to sing during the evening carol service and we’re looking for more singers to join in – especially men. Please note that the ability to read music is not required! Please contact Gavin if you are interested in taking part and would like to know more.
Christmas at St John’s This season affords us a fantastic opportunity to share the good news of Jesus Christ with our friends and neighbours, so please do pray for our various guest services and be bold in inviting people to come:
Dec 16th All Age Carol Service (10:30am) Carols by Candlelight (7:30pm) Dec 23rd Morning Service (10:30am) and Evening Service (6:00pm) Dec 24th Christmas Eve All Age Fancy Dress Nativity (4:00pm) Dec 25th Christmas Day Celebration (10:00am) Dec 30th Morning Service only (10:30am)
We will need lots of help for these services – in particular with welcome, music, setting up and clearing away. Please let Kerry know if you’re able to help in any way.
In addition, it would be really helpful if you are able to hep distribute our Christmas flyers locally – please see the table at the back of church and do take a bundle (or more) if you can!

You can download any of our previous talks and catch up on any that you’ve missed if you’ve been away or unable to come to church for any reason. Or just listen direct from our website.
