Don’t be that family that turns up an hour early as we will mock you!
Light Party (5:30pm to 6:30pm, Wednesday 31st October) As an alternative to Halloween, join us for a Celebration of Light with games, songs, crafts and snacks! This party is for anyone in Reception to Year 6, and is an ideal event to invite friends to. Children are invited to dress up – but please, nothing scary! Please let David Rue know asap if your child will be attending and/or if you can help out on the day.

A great opportunity to ask questions in a relaxed environment – the course is suitable for everyone, whether you’re a new Christian, don’t know what you believe, or have been coming to church for years and just want a ‘refresher’ on what Christians’ believe! Please email or speak to Tom if you’re interested in coming along – it’s not too late to join.

‘The God Particle’ (7:30pm, Saturday 17th November) – tickets available now! A scientist and a vicar walk into a bar… A quantum physicist and a vicar walk into a bar. Joining forces to solve a perplexing mystery, they discover the real meaning of faith, knowledge, love, and the importance of keeping an open mind. The God Particle is a romantic comedy play and DVD with a hint of sci-fi from award-winning co-writer of BBC1’s Miranda, BBC3’s Bluestone 42 and Radio 4’s Another Case of Milton Jones. It’s deep, smart, and very funny.

A small shoebox can have a big impact. What goes into the box is fun, but what comes out of it is eternal. Be a part of changing children’s lives all over the world in Jesus’ name through the power of a simple gift with Operation Christmas Child. See the impact a simple shoebox gift packed and sent with love, has on a child and how it reaches into a community. More information on how to pack a shoebox can be found here – please note that the last day for dropping off filled shoeboxes at St John’s is Sunday, 11th November.
